Gurucool’s ‘Mission Delhi’ Initiative Grants 1 Crore in Scholarships to Students in Slums

Delhi, India — Gurucool, an innovative educational networking platform founded by Adil Meraj (known as Gurucoolwala) has unveiled Mission Delhi, a heartfelt initiative inspired by the stories of Saheb-e-Alam from Seemapuri and Mukesh from Firozabad, characters in NCERT’s Lost Spring. This mission aims to address the harsh realities faced by children in Delhi’s slums and bring transformative change through education and empowerment.

Through Mission Delhi, Gurucool aims to transform lives by providing ₹1 crore in scholarships to underprivileged students, granting them access to Next-Gen phygital learning centers offering courses in coding, competitive exam preparation, and vocational training. The initiative will collaborate with reputable NGOs and social organizations to extend its reach and foster collective efforts in economically disadvantaged areas. Additionally, the campaign will document and amplify the voices of children living in challenging conditions, raising awareness of their struggles and inspiring societal change toward a more equitable future.

In a passionate message, Adil Meraj, Founder & CEO of Gurucool, said, “Even if villages are less wealthy than cities, why is it that slums exist only in cities?” Adil added, “People say these kids are not like other children—they beg, chew tobacco, and are ill-mannered. But I say their circumstances are tough, not their hearts. Children are children, no matter what.”

Mission Delhi’s learning centres feature advanced infrastructure, Frontal Hall-style classrooms, and state-of-the-art digital tools to create an engaging and collaborative learning environment. Scholarships will focus on passion and curiosity rather than academic scores, ensuring inclusivity for all.

Priyanshu, a partner from NGO Aashraya, emphasized, “We are excited to collaborate with Gurucool on this groundbreaking mission. Together, we’re taking meaningful steps toward educational equality for Delhi’s underserved communities.”

Mission Delhi invites individuals, organizations, and philanthropists to join hands in this transformative journey. By supporting this initiative, you can help change lives and build a future where every child has access to quality education and opportunities.
