Pune, 27, October 2026: iLink Digital, an AI-led digital transformation company, is demonstrating how AI can be applied beyond technology teams through its “Client Zero” initiative. By enabling employees across business functions to build and own AI agents, the company is testing how AI can improve everyday operations while helping its workforce adapt to the changing demands of the AI era. The programme has recorded 449 distinct AI use cases across the company, with 215 already live in production, warranty, or final rollout. Of these, 120 are owned and driven by business teams outside engineering, including HR, Finance, Legal, Wellness, Marketing, and Employee Engagement.
The initiative reflects iLink Digital’s “Focus on Real” approach, translating AI adoption into practical business applications. It involves 58 employees across 14 business functions, each of whom has taken ownership of at least one AI agent. Using iLink’s iGentic and BEAK platforms, alongside Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Salesforce Agentforce, employees are leveraging their functional expertise to develop AI-driven solutions for operational challenges. This approach also enables employees without prior AI development experience to contribute to the company’s AI adoption efforts.
“Client Zero means we don’t ask our clients to trust AI that we haven’t already put to work on our own people, our own processes, and our own risk. Nearly half of the agents already live in production were built by employees who have never written a line of production code in their careers: a recruiter, a wellness lead, a legal reviewer. That’s the proof point that matters: if AI transformation can work inside a services company as complex as ours, built by the people closest to the problem, it can work for our clients too.” said Sree Balaji, Co-Founder and Group CEO, iLink Digital
Bringing AI into Everyday Business Operations
Across iLink’s business functions, employees are building AI agents to address everyday tasks. The Legal team has developed a compliance-checking assistant that reviews master service agreements and other contracts against the company’s legal requirements, while the Employee Engagement team has automated new-hire communications, event reminders, recognition-point nudges, and awards nominations, recovering dozens of hours each month.
In employee wellness, iLink’s wellness lead has built four agents without an engineering background, covering survey rollouts, monthly reporting, curated content, and an early-stage wellness chatbot. An agent supporting PERM resume screening is also freeing up dozens of hours each month for a specialised team.
The Alliance team has developed an AI assistant that scans Salesforce’s opportunity pipeline to identify deals eligible for Microsoft co-funding, replacing a manual quarterly review. These initiatives complement the AI work led by iLink’s engineering, data, and infrastructure teams, which account for the majority of the company’s 449 logged use cases and most of those already live.
“Delivery at iLink is now AI-first, and Client Zero is where that discipline gets tested on ourselves. When a recruiter, a lawyer or a wellness lead can build and own a working agent, you’re not just saving hours. You’re building a talent engine that keeps getting stronger. Those same people understand their function deeply, and that’s what lets us bring clients a proven, lower-risk path to agentic AI instead of a promise.” said Ratheesh C Krishnageeth, Chief Operations Officer, iLink Digital
Building AI Capability Across the Workforce
Client Zero is focused on making employees more capable and better equipped for an AI-led workplace, rather than using AI simply to reduce headcount. By working directly with AI tools to improve their own processes, employees build practical skills in identifying use cases, developing agents, and refining their outputs. This also helps them understand how AI can be applied within their functions, beyond the technology itself.
Each use case is tracked against an owner, its implementation status, and relevant functional measures such as hours reclaimed, turnaround time, error rates, and throughput. This allows iLink to assess how the solutions are performing and where further improvements are needed, while giving teams a clearer view of the operational value their work delivers.
Turning Internal Experience into Client Outcomes
The experience gained through Client Zero is also shaping how iLink approaches AI transformation for clients. By testing tools, workflows, and governance practices internally, the company can draw on its own implementation experience when helping clients identify suitable use cases and move AI initiatives towards production. Employees who understand their functions and have firsthand experience building agents can also bring practical perspectives to client discussions about where AI can make a difference.
iLink plans to extend Client Zero to more business functions, move additional use cases into production, and share further updates on adoption and the time saved through AI. The initiative will continue to serve as an internal testing ground for the platforms, governance practices, and implementation approaches that iLink can bring into client engagements, helping organisations move from AI experimentation towards practical business outcomes.
