Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has registered a significant victory at Rajdhani College, Bhubaneswar, with Abinash Padhi elected as the President of the Students’ Union in the Odisha student union elections held on October 15, 2026.
The victory marks an important moment for ABVP at Rajdhani College, reflecting the confidence and support extended by students to its candidate. Padhi’s election comes as student union elections return to Odisha campuses after an eight-year gap, bringing renewed enthusiasm for student representation and campus leadership.
Across Odisha, the election witnessed strong participation and closely contested battles between student organisations. ABVP secured key victories at prominent institutions, including BJB Autonomous College, Utkal University, Rajdhani College and Gangadhar Meher University. Meanwhile, the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) won the president’s posts at Ravenshaw University and Rama Devi Women’s University.
