A high-level delegation from the University of Birmingham, UK, a prestigious Russell Group university, Amity’s esteemed academic partner and among the Top 100 Universities globally, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Noida Campus, to further strengthen the longstanding academic partnership between the two institutions. The delegation comprised faculty members from the Bioscience and allied Sciences domains, including Dr. Yemisi Takwoingi, Head of the Department of Applied Health Sciences; Dr. Clare Davenport, Clinical Associate Professor; Dr. Jacqueline Dinnes, Senior Research Fellow; and Mr. Devesh Anand, Regional Director – South Asia and Middle East.
Presenting an overview of the College of Medicine & Health, University of Birmingham, Dr. Yemisi Takwoingi, Head of the Department of Applied Health Sciences, averred, “Testing is a key pillar of our strategy to protect the NHS and save lives, with a strong focus on two important types of tests—swab tests and antibody tests. Through our academic and research strengths, we are continuously working towards advancing healthcare, improving diagnostic approaches and translating research into meaningful outcomes. We highly value our association with Amity University and see significant potential for deeper collaboration in areas of mutual academic and research interest. We are looking forward to further strengthening our collaboration with Amity University and creating greater opportunities for students and faculty to learn, engage and undertake impactful research together.”

The delegation also visited the high-tech laboratories and advanced research facilities at Amity University, wherein they witnessed state-of-the-art infrastructure, research capabilities and facilities supporting cutting-edge teaching, innovation and interdisciplinary research.
