The MOU was signed by Jidesh Kumar, Managing Partner of King Stubb & Kasiva, and Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to enhance legal education and provide students with opportunities to engage in international legal discourse. “We are excited to partner with NALSAR University of Law to support the development of aspiring legal professionals through the annual King Stubb & Kasiva – NALSAR International Moot Court Competition,” said Jidesh Kumar. “This initiative will not only enhance the practical skills of students but also encourage them to think critically and creatively about legal issues on a global scale.”
“KSK’s collaboration with NALSAR marks a pioneering step toward law firms partnering with law schools to facilitate deeper and ongoing research. This partnership will include flagship events like the first international moot court on commercial laws, which will provide intensive training, learning opportunities, and exposure for participants. Additionally, the initiative will feature curated workshops led by experts, open to participants from NALSAR and other law schools. This collaboration aims to create a strong foundation for future lawyers, with insights and knowledge that will serve as invaluable skills and talents throughout their legal careers,” said Sunayana Basu Mallik, Partner, King Stubb & Kasiva.
“The initiative to connect industry, law firms, advocates, and law students through this competition is truly commendable. Participants will experience an innovative approach to moot court competitions, something that has likely never been done before in India.” said Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
The collaboration will enable both institutions to organize the international moot court competition annually, promoting a vibrant legal academic culture that prepares students for future challenges in the legal profession.
