Manipal, India – 17th April 2024 – In a momentous occasion marking a leap forward in the pursuit of sustainable solutions, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and Vrtta Green Solutions, a leading environmental engineering firm based in Montreal, Canada, have solidified their commitment to collaborative excellence through the signing of a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The signing ceremony, held at the esteemed MAHE campus, brought together an assembly of distinguished luminaries and thought leaders from both academia and industry, symbolizing a convergence of vision and purpose in tackling the pressing environmental challenges of our time.

Among the esteemed dignitaries present were Dr. Swaroop SV, Director, and Dr. Kishor Kumar MJ (India Incharge) from Vrtta Green Solutions, alongside key representatives from MAHE including Dr. Narayan Sabhahit, Pro Vice Chancellor – Technology & Science; Dr. Giridhar P Kini, Registrar; and administrators from the prestigious Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) including Dr. Anil Rana, Director; Dr. Somashekara Bhat, Joint Director; and Dr. Purshotham G Sarvade, HOD of the Civil Engineering Department. Through the MoU, MAHE and Vrtta Green Solutions pledge to offer paid internships for Master’s students specializing in Environmental Engineering, Data Science, and other related domains providing them with unparalleled opportunities to gain hands-on experience, delve into cutting-edge research, and contribute meaningfully to real-world sustainability initiatives.
