The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, or NBEMS, is holding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG today. The examination’s second shift has started. The exam was administered during its first shift, which ran from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. The examination is being administered in CBT (Computer-Based Test) style throughout two shifts in a single day. Notably, the 200 multiple-choice questions on the NEET PG exam question paper will only be available in English and will each have four possible answers or distractions. Candidates are required to choose one of the four response options presented for each question as the accurate, best, or most appropriate solution.
Following the first shift, a few Patna applicants reported that the paper was moderate to extremely challenging. It should be noted that the June 23 date of the NEET PG 2024 was first planned. But amid the controversy surrounding the NEET UG and other important admission exams, the test was rescheduled as a “precautionary measure.” Tickets for the NEET PG hall were made available on August 8, 2024. The admit card included information about the test center location in the designated test city in addition to the NEET PG hall passes.
It is also important to note that on August 9, the Supreme Court denied a motion asking for the NEET PG 2024 to be postponed. To prevent any chance of arbitrariness in the process, the petitioners raised concerns about transportation to the allotted seats and requested that candidates be made aware of the normalization procedure for the four sets of question papers. In its ruling, the highest court stated that it would not jeopardize the careers of more than two lakh students and that the larger concerns of the great majority of students and their families could not be subordinated to the interests of a small number of petitioners.
According to Mr. Gaurav Tyagi, Founder of Career Xpert
One of the biggest challenges facing those who aspire to become medical professionals is the NEET PG exam, which is given in two shifts. The first shift’s input indicates that this will be a difficult paper, which emphasizes how important preparation is. Although the exam’s postponement may have increased anxiety, students must maintain composure and focus during this crucial period. The Supreme Court’s decision to move on without more delays emphasizes how important it is to preserve the timeliness and integrity of these important exams to provide every applicant an equal chance.”
