Speaking on the occasion Padma Shri Dr. B. Soma Raju, said, Dr Prathap C. Reddy revolutionised private healthcare in India, bringing advanced medical care within the country and inspiring institutions that followed. We owe much of our progress to his vision. My secret to achievement is simple, surround yourself with people better thanyourself.I am grateful to the teachers, colleagues, students and families who have contributed to our journey. As women increasingly lead the medical profession, balancing professional responsibilities with family life calls for strong management skills. The experience of motherhood can also nurture empathy, leadership and the ability to manage people.I want to leave you with the timeless wisdom from the first edition ofHarrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine(1950): a physician needs three essential qualities of technical skill, scientific knowledge and human understanding.Today, technology and AI have made knowledge more accessible and accelerated the learning of technical skills. But human understanding remains irreplaceable. We must see not merely the disease, but the person behind it, their circumstances, fears, dignity and needs.Medicine is a privilege, a responsibility and an obligation. Practice with courage, humility and wisdom. Have the courage to admit mistakes and seek a second opinion, the humility to acknowledge uncertainty, and the wisdom to know not just what can be done, but what should be done.Healthcare must also remain compassionate and equitable, with dignity and care extending to every patient and every member of the hospital team.Remember, every patient encounter shapes your character. Every success tests your humility, every complication your honesty, and every vulnerable patient your compassion.Keep learning, work as a team, put patients first, and ask yourself: What do I want to be remembered for?

Mr. Shiva Rama Krishnan, CEO, Apollo Knowledge; said, Continuous learning should be the motto of each one of you and today that learning must include technology. The rapid advances in AI are transforming healthcare, and you must keep pace to avoid becoming obsolete.AI will never replace healthcare professionals, but those who embrace it will significantly outperform those who don’t. From analysing complex cases to uncovering insights from patient histories and improving clinical decisions, AI empowers doctors to make better-informed decisions.AI is here to stay. Embrace technology, keep learning, and use it to deliver better healthcare.

Dr. K. Manohar, Dean, AIMSR; said, I am proud to share that 34 MBBS graduates secured first-class marks. Among the 45 postgraduate students, 42 passed, with 14 earning first-class honours, a remarkable achievement. My advice to the outgoing students is, wherever you practice and whatever your specialisation, never forget your foundations. Be a good communicator, for while a good doctor treats the patient, the best doctor heals through effective communication and compassion.Above all, remain lifelong learners. Medicine is constantly evolving, and updating your knowledge is essential. The day you stop learning is the day you should stop practicing.

Ms Aparna Reddy, COO, AIMSR; said, The Graduation Ceremony of AIMSR, Hyderabad, celebrates the achievements of the undergraduate batch of 2020 and postgraduate batch of 2022. It is a proud moment to witness their transformation into accomplished doctors. As they embark on their professional journeys, we wish them success as physicians, researchers, and future healthcare leaders, always guided by compassion and humanity. May they pursue their dreams with courage, bring pride to their families and institution, and make a meaningful difference to society.
