Plans to launch 300 Youth Chapter of across Telangana by end of October, 2026
Hyderabad, Sept 12: PURE – People for Urban and Rural Education, a global nonprofit, founded in the USA and spread to many countries, working to expand access to education, advance youth leadership, empower women and strengthen communities through locally led action, celebrated its 10th anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to creating opportunities and driving sustainable community development in the city on Friday evening at The Glass Onion, Boulder Hills, Financial District, Gachibowli.
PURE’s work focuses on five key areas: Education; Youth Leadership; Women & Girls; AI & Future Readiness; and Community & Climate Action.
Founded by two women of Indian origin in the USA, Dr Shyla Talluri and Archana Purini, both full time entrepreneurs in IT Industry, over the years, PURE has expanded its footprint across nine countries — the United States, India, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Kenya, Barbados, Saint Lucia and Costa Rica — and has impacted more than one million lives through its programmes and community initiatives. The organisation currently has 100+ Youth Hubs globally.
Through its education initiatives, PURE works towards strengthening schools and expanding access to opportunity. Its youth programmes provide youth-led hubs, exchange opportunities and leadership pathways, while initiatives for women and girls focus on health, dignity, safety, skills and empowerment.
Recognising the rapidly changing technological landscape, PURE has also identified AI literacy, digital learning and responsible technology use as important areas of future readiness. Its community and climate action initiatives address water, wellbeing and sustainable development.
As part of its next chapter, Dr Shyla Talluri, Founder of PURE has announced an ambitious plan to establish 300 PURE Youth Hubs across Telangana by the end of October. The initiative is aimed at creating accessible platforms for young people to learn, connect, develop leadership skills and take locally relevant action.
The Youth Chapter aligns its members with United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Each of these chapters works on three local projects, mingling with local communities. They will also be involved in one national and one international project each year. Thus, we provide them an opportunity to learn by doing.

The organisation said its 10-year journey has reinforced the importance of locally led solutions, collaboration and empowering young people and communities to become agents of change.
With its expanding network of Youth Hubs and its planned 300-hub Telangana initiative, PURE aims to build a stronger ecosystem of education, leadership, inclusion and community action, while continuing its mission of creating meaningful and sustainable impact.
