The University of Birmingham Dubai is now inviting applications from Indian students for their LLM Energy and Environmental Law program; offering students a curriculum that offers the necessary tools to confront global energy challenges and the requirements of climate change law.
The program is an innovative and challenging, research-driven education designed to actively engage students in seminars and discussions, fostering the contribution of original ideas. It develops students’ skills in research, legal analysis, and presenting solutions to practical legal problems. Each module, crafted by esteemed academics with the future lawyer in mind, provides a solid foundation in common law and international commercial legal issues. Students will be taught by experts, including key legal text authors with extensive international practice experience. This education cultivates significant technical expertise and an international perspective, greatly enhancing career prospects.
Program delivery:
Students will engage in each module over 10 teaching weeks per semester, following a structured timetable. In Semesters 1 and 2, students will complete three modules each, while the summer term is dedicated to their dissertation projects. Semester 2 also offers the flexibility of block teaching for one or two modules, delivered intensively over three weekends, with sessions spanning four hours on Saturdays for three weeks and four hours on Sundays for two weeks for example.

Entry Requirements:
- International qualifications which are equivalent to a UK honors degree in Law will be considered.
- IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band
Application process: Applications for September 2024 are open. There is no application fee.
Tuition: The annual tuition fee for 2024 entry is AED 114,250 (USD 31,000 appx.) per year of study and can be paid in installments.
Scholarship: Scholarship options at the University of Birmingham Dubai are designed to benefit all students and the financial rewards can be carried forward through the entire program across the foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. For September 2024 entry the university is offering scholarships of up to 40% to all students based on academic performance.
