07 November 2024: Students hoping to secure a place at the new University of Southampton Delhi campus can now apply.
This exciting opportunity represents the first chance to study in India with a world top 100 UK Russell Group university.
The courses offered at the University of Southampton’s India campus are exactly the same as those offered in the UK, with the same modules, assessment, and academic requirements.
Students graduate with the same degree at the India campus as they will do when studying the same degree in the UK. The degree certificate and transcript will be identical and there will be no identification that the degree was awarded at a particular campus.
The courses now open for the University’s first intake in August 2025 are:
Undergraduate programmes:
- BSc Business Management
- BSc Accounting & Finance
- BSc Computer Science
- BSc Economics
Postgraduate programmes:
- MSc International Management
- MSc Finance
University of Southampton student Veydant Dixit is currently studying for a BSc degree in Marketing.

Third year undergraduate Stavan Pareek came from Rajasthan to study a BSc in Environmental Science.

Professor Andrew Atherton, Vice-President International and Engagement, said: “We are thrilled to be opening our inaugural application round for what will become our very first intake of students at our University of Southampton Delhi campus.
“We have already had interest from many high calibre students and are looking forward to welcoming them to our new, state-of-the-art campus in Gurugram, Delhi.”
The University of Southampton has become the first international university to be granted a licence by the Indian government to establish a comprehensive campus in the country under the new National Education Policy (NEP). This noteworthy accomplishment highlights the University’s commitment to expand its global reach and foster international academic collaborations.
The University of Southampton is partnering with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) to deliver the new campus, including enquiry admissions and enrolment services.
The new campus will feature outstanding facilities and offer an exceptional student experience.
The first application round will close on November 29, with students expected to find out if they have been successful by mid-January 2025. Two further admissions rounds are then expected to take place for 2025 entry.
Places are limited and admissions may close earlier based on demand. The application fee of 5000 INR is waived for the first application round.
