India, Oct 28: Premanjali, a global conscious artist, has seamlessly moved between soul, pop, and bhakti music. Now, with her new confessional single, Govinda, she expresses the inner journey of guilt one can go through on their spiritual journey wishing they were doing more than they are or knowing they have made mistakes.

The track is a serene composition with an acoustic guitar and flute complementing lyrics written by Premanjali, alongside BALARAM and Shammi Pitha, who also serve as producers. The lyrics reflect the singer's experience with self-doubt, where she thinks all the praise that she receives is undeserved. She is afraid to surrender fully to his plans, yet, as she sings, her faith in the Lord helps her through dark moments in life.
Talking about her latest single, Premanjalisays,
“Growing up within a religious community made me develop a strong relationship with God or Krishna from a young age. But it also left me feeling like I was falling behind in many ways - not being a good enough devotee or following all of the rules properly. Govinda is a song I wrote to Krishna - reminding Him that even though I make so many mistakes, at the end of the day, all I really want is to come home. And I hope it can be a balm for the heart in times when you may feel the same.”
Throughout her career, Premanjali has helped her audience connect with their spirituality, bringing the ancient traditions of bhajan and mantra music to modern listeners. With Govinda, Premanjali unveils a more vulnerable side of herself, using her music to express her undying devotion to the Lord.
“Govinda” is now available on all streaming platforms, including YouTube and Spotify.
