BIT Mesra Successfully Concludes ASCAT 2025, Driving Innovation in Cellular Automata Research

Ranchi, March 2025: BIT Mesra successfully concluded the fourth edition of the Asian Symposium on Cellular Automata Technology (ASCAT 2025), held from March 06 to March 08, reaffirming its role as a leading platform for advancing research in Cellular Automata (CA).

Bringing together experts, researchers, and students from across the globe, ASCAT 2025 fostered insightful discussions on CA’s applications in computing, AI, security, physics, and healthcare. The symposium featured invited talks from renowned academicians, cutting-edge research presentations, and interactive sessions, ensuring a dynamic exchange of knowledge.

Over the years, ASCAT has evolved from an online webinar series (2020-21) to a globally recognized symposium, growing from its first edition at IIEST Shibpur (2022-23) to NIT Durgapur (2024) and now BIT Mesra. This year saw record participation, with high-quality peer-reviewed submissions and expanded global engagement.

Key highlights included the PhD Forum and Summer School collaborations, providing a platform for young researchers to contribute to CA advancements. Research presented at the symposium covered emerging areas such as theoretical models, AI-driven applications, cryptography, and biomedical data analysis.

ASCAT 2025 concluded on a high note, setting the stage for future breakthroughs in CA research. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation, the symposium reinforced its significance in shaping the future of this evolving domain.
