Independence Day 2024: Malls Show Spectacular Display of Patriotism and Rich Cultural Heritage

Delhi-NCR, August 17, 2024: India celebrated its 78th Independence Day yesterday, and the entire nation was immersed in the essence of patriotism and cultural fervour. From north to south and east to west, India witnessed a spectacular display of Independence Day’s spirit.

Malls across the city celebrated the national festival with utmost patriotic zeal. Various malls across Delhi-NCR were decked up with tricolor while some highlighted key themes reflecting their significance and contribution to the country’s independence journey.

Showcasing the mighty display of India’s air power, The Mall of Faridabad featured a distinctively crafted model of the multi-role combat aircraft Tejas. The mall stood out in the region with an impressive tribute to the Indian Air Force. The aircraft display within the mall caught the attention of visitors offering them a chance to marvel at the detail of India’s homegrown Tejas.

Whereas at Pacific Mall Tagore Garden, the celebrations revolved around the theme “Atulaya Bharat: Incredible India.” The mall had a display vibrant mix of traditional and modern Indian art forms resonating with the message of “Atulaya Bharat: Incredible India.” Besides, various activities were planned as a part of a unique celebration of India’s rich cultural legacy through “Atulaya Kala Utsav” where people participated in creating their art pieces and took home mini art souvenirs, while traditional folk performances brightened up the festive cheer more.

In Noida, Independence Day festivities began with a colourful display at DLF Mall of India and Spectrum Metro Mall. DLF Mall of India in Noida celebrated Independence Day with great pride and made it anmemorable event. The day began with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, where the national flag was proudly unfurled in a display of patriotic fervor. The ceremony was attended by a distinguished guest, Ms. Nutan Batra Malik, the sister of the revered Kargil Martyr Captain Vikram Batra (Param Vir Chakra). Her presence added a memorable and heartfelt touch to the celebrations, honoring the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers. While, Spectrum Metro Mall, located in Sector 75, was brightened up with tricolour decorations. A special selfie point with photos of martyrs was set up, adding to the celebratory ambience. Both malls had flag-hoisting ceremonies as well.

The Mall of Dehradun marked Independence Day with a grand flag-hoisting ceremony, in a tribute to the nation’s freedom and heritage. The festivity created an engaging atmosphere throughout the mall, creating the joy of patriotic celebration.
