Mahatma Gandhi Nationalism and Journalism Award 2024 goes to Prof Arun Bhagat

Bihar Public Service Commission’s member, Prof Arun Kumar Bhagat, was presented with the coveted Mahatma Gandhi Nationalism and Journalism Award 2024 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to university education, subject expertise, and ethical values here on International Day of Non-Violence. This accolade highlights his unwavering commitment to fair practices, public welfare, and scholarliness.

While presenting the award on behalf of British Lingua, Prof NK Jha, registrar of Patliputra University said, “Professor Bhagat’s relentless efforts in promoting quality education and ethical practices serve as an inspiring model for educators everywhere.”

“Prof Arun Kumar Bhagat has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of higher education, particularly in mass communication and journalism. His work has not only benefitted students but has also enriched the broader community, embodying the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi through his dedication to public service.”, said Dr Birbal Jha, noted author, and managing director of British Lingua, an institution of international repute.

While acknowledging the award, Prof. Arun Bhagat said, “It’s Bihar that made MK Gandhi Mahatma, who demonstrated the power of non-violence to the entire world, turning out to be an institution in himself. His ideals and teachings are worth embracing.”
