Kochi, September 9th: V-Guard Foundation, the CSR arm of V-Guard Industries Limited, is excited to announce the commencement of the eighth edition of its flagship initiative, V-Guard Tarang, a skill development programme aimed at empowering youth with practical expertise in the electrical and electronics sectors. The new batch for Kerala is set to begin on 23rd September 2024, and applications are now open for aspiring participants who wish to enhance their career prospects. The residential programme, which is completely funded by V-Guard Industries, includes free accommodation, meals, and access to a state-of-the-art training facility in Fort Kochi.
V-Guard Tarang focuses on equipping young individuals with hands-on training in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronics products, with exposure to V-Guard’s extensive service network.
Participants are selected from various districts across the state, with priority given to individuals from economically underprivileged backgrounds. Upon successful completion, they will receive certification from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), opening doors to placement opportunities in their home districts and beyond.
Since its inception, V-Guard Tarang has trained over 700 young people, many of whom have secured sustainable employment in service centres or pursued entrepreneurial ventures in their communities.
This initiative reflects V-Guard’s long-standing commitment to fostering skill development and enhancing livelihood opportunities across India.
