Speaking on the occasion, Dr (Prof) Kunal Bahrani, Chairman & Group Director – Neurology, Yatharth Hospitals, Faridabad, said,

“Stroke requires immediate medical attention, as delays can significantly affect recovery and long-term outcomes. Common warning signs include sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body, facial drooping, difficulty speaking, vision problems or loss of balance. Recognising these symptoms and acting without delay is crucial. The dedicated helpline and ambulance service will help people seek assistance during suspected stroke emergencies and emphasise the importance of reaching a hospital as quickly as possible.”

Dr. Rajiv Gumber, President, IMA Faridabad, said,

“Timely access to stroke care is critical in reducing the risk of long-term disability and improving patient outcomes. Initiatives such as a dedicated stroke helpline and ambulance service can help bridge the gap between recognising symptoms and reaching appropriate medical care. Greater public awareness, early identification of warning signs and prompt hospitalisation are essential to managing stroke effectively. Such collaborative efforts are important steps towards strengthening emergency healthcare and improving outcomes for patients in Faridabad.”

Mr. Nitin Gupta, Group Chief Operating Officer and President Finance – Yatharth Group of Hospitals, said,

“At Yatharth Hospital, we are committed to making quality healthcare more accessible, particularly during medical emergencies where every minute counts. Mr. Ajay Bhardwaj, Facility Director – Yatharth Group of Hospitals, said,

Eligible patients may benefit from specialised treatments that can restore blood flow to the brain, but these interventions are time-sensitive. People should never ignore sudden neurological symptoms or wait for them to subside. Through this initiative, we aim to encourage prompt action and improve awareness about stroke emergencies. We urge families to recognise the warning signs, seek immediate medical attention and avoid delays that could affect recovery.”
